Meet Your Wedding Planner
I'm Ramesh, the founder of Weddings In Algarve, and a destination wedding planner based in the beautiful Algarve, Portugal. With a specialisation in South Asian weddings whilst also bringing a unique flair to western weddings, I bring a wealth of experience in event management. Originally from Uganda and with Indian heritage, I have a natural affinity for culture.
Arriving in the UK as a refugee in my teens, I had to cut short my education and began working in a supermarket. My rapid progression to General Manager at the age of Eighteen enabled me to develop a managerial skills and creating a passion for event management, particularly for charities.
This led me to start planning weddings and parties for friends and family, honing my managerial skills it quickly became my weekend passion that led me to planning many special events. After experiencing planning all different kinds of events i found i had a love for planning both South Asian weddings and Western weddings which is when i like to stay Ramesh the Wedding Planner was born.
And wedding planning for many years for clients all across europe, I fell in love with the Algarve, Portugal as a destination and this is how Weddings In Algarve was created.
